(A) Privacy Policy — Make It or Pay

Drawn up in accordance with the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and French Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, as amended.

1. Data controller

VMConsulting, sole proprietorship (entreprise individuelle — individual entrepreneur), registered office at 18 rue des Borderies, 16100 Saint-Laurent-de-Cognac, France, registered with the French National Business Register (RNE), SIREN 928 891 969. 2. Data collected

  • Identification/account: e-mail, first name, password (hashed, never stored in plain text).
  • Usage: habits/tasks created and their tracking.
  • Financial: amounts of the fines set and charged.
  • Payment: Stripe technical identifiers (customer/payment). The card number is never collected or stored by us — it is processed by Stripe.
  • Technical: session tokens (JWT).
  • Analytics: browsing data via Google Analytics 4 (G-W112P2J3FQ), subject to consent.

3. Purposes

Account creation/management; provision of the Service; management and charging of fines via Stripe; transactional e-mails; security/fraud prevention; audience measurement (consent); legal and accounting obligations.

Performance of the contract (account, service, fines, transactional e-mails); consent (analytics/cookies); legitimate interest (security, improvement); legal obligation (accounting, official requests).

5. Recipients and processors

Stripe (payments); Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus (VPS hosting, nginx, PostgreSQL); e-mail service provider (where applicable) (transactional e-mails); Google (Analytics 4). Data may be disclosed to the authorities where required by law. No sale or rental of data.

6. Transfers outside the EU

Some processors (Google, Stripe) may process data outside the EU (in particular in the USA), under Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the Data Privacy Framework. A copy of the safeguards is available on request.

7. Retention periods

  • Account and tracking data: lifetime of the account, then deletion/anonymisation within 30 days.
  • Payment/fine data: accounting and tax archiving for 10 years.
  • Session tokens: duration of the session.
  • Analytics (GA4): ≤ 14 months; analytics cookies ≤ 13 months; consent record kept for 6 months.
  • Security logs: ≤ 12 months.

8. Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, post-mortem directives. To exercise them: contact@makeitorpay.com or contact@makeitorpay.com; response within 1 month. 9. Cookies and trackers

Strictly necessary trackers (no consent required); Google Analytics 4 (G-W112P2J3FQ) subject to prior consent via the banner. Consent may be refused or withdrawn at any time, with no impact on access to the Service.

10. Security

Password hashing; HTTPS/TLS (nginx); card processing outsourced to Stripe (PCI-DSS); access control to the database and the VPS; logging. Notification in the event of a high-risk breach (Art. 34 GDPR).

11. Minors

The Service is reserved for persons aged 18 and over (real fines are charged). No data of minors is knowingly collected.

12. Changes

The applicable version is the one published on the date of consultation; users will be informed of any substantial change.

All elements (the “Make It or Pay” trademark, logo, texts, interfaces, code, databases) are the exclusive property of VMConsulting. Any unauthorised use constitutes infringement (Art. L.335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code).

6. Payments

Charges are processed via Stripe; card data is processed by Stripe and never stored by the publisher.
